Full Job Description
WORK SHIFT
DAY (United States of America)

SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Plans, schedules and monitors the procurement of commodities in regional and global markets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

1. Develops commodity sourcing strategies to address supply market conditions, technology roadmaps and product needs/forecasts.
2. Primary owner for the supplier relationship; and in accordance with the commodity strategy, drive supplier selection, qualification, development and overall supplier management.
3. Drive global supply base consolidation analysis, planning and implementation.
4. Conducts and processes quote requests, including:
a. Coordinating clarifications with engineering
b. Analyzing quote responses
c. Conducting detailed cost analysis
d. Preparing sourcing recommendations
5. Lead negotiations, including final pricing, and the establishment of supply contracts or agreements.
6. Coordinates with site managers to identify supply needs and conduct sourcing analysis.
7. Owns communication for contract data and volumes across global teams and supply base, as appropriate.
8. Drive continuous cost and performance improvements by analyzing cost drivers, processes and specifications for improvement opportunities.
9. Leverage supplier capabilities and business opportunities on a domestic and international basis.
10. Initiate and maintain internal and external communications regarding sourcing, pricing and demand for materials.
11. Performs other tasks, as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Education and/or experience equivalent to a related Bachelor's Degree.
• A minimum of five years of commodity purchasing experience.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of purchasing methods and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Excellent knowledge of business mathematics.
• Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.
