Your Impact
  • Deliver geotechnical studies, analyses, and engineering reports that guide safe, sustainable project decisions across diverse northern terrains.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop geotechnical solutions for highways, bridges, buildings, dams, industrial facilities, tunnelling, and more.
  • Lead geotechnical investigation programs, including scoping, bid documents, contractor evaluations, and technical oversight throughout project delivery.
  • Assess complex geotechnical challenges such as settlement, liquefaction, slope stability, frost effects, and groundwater behaviour-bringing forward clear, data-driven recommendations.
  • Support field programs including boreholes, CPTs, test pits, piezocone soundings, embankment construction, subgrade assessments, and geosynthetics installation.
  • Share knowledge across WSP's national network, contributing to innovative approaches and best practices in geotechnical engineering.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety, inclusion, and technical excellence while mentoring junior team members and supporting project delivery across the region.


The Skills That Set You Apart
  • You hold a B.Sc. in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus, and you are already registered as a P.Eng. in Canada, with eligibility for registration with EGBC.
  • You bring 6+ years of hands-on geotechnical consulting experience in Canada, with a strong foundation in applied geomechanics and soil/rock behaviour.
  • You have experience navigating real-world challenges in northern or remote project environments and thrive in both office and field settings.
  • You're fluent with geotechnical modelling suites such as GeoStudio, Rocscience, or similar tools, and you apply strong engineering judgment when interpreting outputs.
  • You have a proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget, balancing technical rigor with practical solutions.
  • You bring initiative, curiosity, and a self-directed mindset-paired with a valid Canadian driver's license.


Compensation
  • AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $104,100 - $138,000
  • MB & ON: $95,000 - $130,800
  • NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $94,100 - $124,900
