Step Into Your New Role

 

Kleinfelder is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager in the Mid-Atlantic Region. 

 

This position will be based in Exton, PA.

 

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a role where they can execute project work, partner with senior geotechnical engineers, provide mentorship to junior staff, and engage with clients. On the job you would be expected to: 

 

  • Coordinate with multidiscipline team to prepare proposals and execute projects;
  • Safely coordinate and execute field exploration programs, construction observation, and associated documentation;
  • Complete engineering analysis including: soil and rock classification; shallow and deep foundation capacity, immediate and consolidation settlement; slope stability analysis, geohazard evaluation, ground improvement, and earth retention systems;
  • Partner with internal and external multidisciplinary teams during project development;
  • Prepare Geotechnical Engineering reports;
  • Prepare construction specifications and drawings;
  • Be actively involved during the construction phase of projects;
  • Positively interact with client representatives; and
  • Development of scope of work, project budgets, work breakdown structures, and schedules. 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering.
  • 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
  • Positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of: MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Experience with geotechnical software packages including L-Pile, Uni-pile, SHAFT, gINT, GRL WEAP, GEO STUDIO, and FAD preferred.
  • Clean driving record and the ability to pass a drug test required.

 

Preferred Skills/Experience:

 

  • Master's degree
  • PE
  • Candidate within commuting distance of Exton, PA
