EnVision Consultants Ltd. is looking for a bright, motivated, team-oriented person to join our organization as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. Ideal candidates will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities and demonstrate the capacity to effectively manage internal and external relationships.

As part of your role, you may expect to be involved in:- Support the goals of the geotechnical team, monitoring and managing operational responsibilities of the staff within the group
- Senior supervision of co-ordination and execution of field work associated with our geotechnical services
- Preparation and/or review of geotechnical reports
- Management of project financials and schedules
- Communication with clients to assist with the development and execution of work
- Proposal preparation and/or review
- Ensuring high quality technical work, including field methodology, reporting, and client deliverables
- Fostering an atmosphere of continuous improvement through on-the-job coaching and guidance to junior and intermediate geotechnical staff
- Supporting and/or developing Health and Safety programs
- Collaborate with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multi-disciplinary projects
- Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed
- Any other functions assigned as part of your employment
To apply to this position, you should expect to have:- A degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological engineering
- Ontario licensed P.Eng.
- 10-15 years of prior consulting experience working in the field of geotechnical discipline
- Proven success in client relationship management and strong leadership skills
- Comfortable interacting with the public, clients, contractors, and co-workers
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues
- Excellent English (verbal/written) communication skills
- Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn and teach
