Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong combination of leadership, project management, and technical expertise in enterprise GIS, asset management, and work management solutions. This role will lead complex consulting engagements involving Esri ArcGIS, Utility Network, Trimble Unity, Cityworks, and related digital transformation initiatives, while building trusted client relationships and delivering measurable business outcomes.

This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about leading geospatial transformation programs, managing multidisciplinary teams, and delivering advanced technology solutions to clients.

What You'll Do

Business Development
  • Build and strengthen client relationships through project delivery, strategic engagement, and ongoing collaboration.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities to provide geospatial, asset management, and work management consulting services.
  • Support and lead proposal development activities, including scoping, estimating, planning, and budgeting.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop strategic roadmaps for ArcGIS, Utility Network, Trimble Unity, Cityworks AMS, Cityworks PLL, and related platforms.
  • Lead aspects of the request for proposal (RFP) and bid process, including scope, schedule, and budget development and partner selection.
  • Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to client leadership teams to align geospatial initiatives with long-term business objectives.

Project Execution & Delivery
  • Act as project manager or delivery lead responsible for scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and overall project success.
  • Lead the planning and execution of enterprise geospatial, asset management, and work management system implementations.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams responsible for system configuration, integration, data migration, testing, training, and organizational change management.
  • Oversee project governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and executive reporting for complex initiatives.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with agreed scope, budget, and quality standards, while meeting client objectives.
  • Supervise overall project progress, ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved.
  • Oversee project documentation, including submittals, change orders, reporting, and contract closeout.
  • Provide centralized coordination for project interdependencies and cross-functional teams.
  • Lead project audits related to safety, quality, progress, and financial performance.
  • Manage communications with internal stakeholders, clients, regulatory agencies, and public entities as needed.
  • Ensure project quality through adherence to QA/QC protocols and company safety standards.

Leadership & Mentorship
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams of consultants, analysts, engineers, and technical specialists to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development to less experienced staff.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource across enterprise geospatial, asset management, and work management domains.
  • Champion teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement within project teams.
  • Promote best practices for GIS-centric asset lifecycle management, field mobility, inspection workflows, permitting, and capital project delivery.
  • Drive a culture of safety, quality, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Technical Responsibilities
  • Lead technical delivery and quality assurance for enterprise GIS and related system implementations, including ArcGIS Enterprise and Utility Network, Trimble Unity, and Cityworks platforms.
  • Oversee business process assessments, requirements gathering, solution architecture, and implementation planning.
  • Guide clients in designing GIS-centric workflows for asset management, work order management, inspections, permitting, and capital program delivery.
  • Direct integration strategies across ArcGIS, Cityworks, Trimble Unity, ERP systems, EAM systems, and operational platforms such as SCADA, ADMS, OMS, and related technologies.
  • Validate system requirements, functional specifications, integration designs, and application interactions.
  • Ensure solutions align with industry best practices, enterprise architecture standards, and client digital transformation goals.
  • Review and approve technical deliverables including assessments, implementation roadmaps, data models, governance frameworks, and integration architectures.
  • Apply technical expertise to influence project delivery processes, quality standards, and client outcomes.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Deep experience leading enterprise GIS implementations using Esri ArcGIS Enterprise and Utility Network, including architecture, deployment, and migration from legacy network models.
  • Demonstrated expertise integrating GIS platforms with enterprise systems such as Cityworks, Trimble Unity, ERP, EAM, and operational technologies (e.g., SCADA, ADMS, OMS).
  • Strong background in GIS-centric asset management and work management workflows, including inspections, permitting, and mobile workforce enablement.
  • Proven ability to lead data strategy and migration efforts, including spatial data modeling, data governance, and quality management for large-scale utility or infrastructure environments.
  • Experience advising clients on geospatial digital transformation roadmaps, aligning GIS capabilities with business processes, asset lifecycle management, and capital program delivery.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in engineering, business, computer science or related field from an accredited program and 10 years of relevant experience required.
  • Knowledge in project management, techniques, and procedures.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Experience leading technical aspects of consulting engagements in regards to heavy industrial sectors such as power generation and delivery and oil, gas, and chemical.
  • Experience on consulting projects, client operations, or executing program management within the critical infrastructure industry.
  • Understanding of general business and financial principles.
  • Experience with communicating across business segments to understand project objectives.
