Job Description

We are looking for a talented Senior Geospatial Delivery Manager to join our team. You would be joining a team of Geospatial and Data Services professionals that work collaboratively to deliver solutions to our internal and external clients. The Senior Geospatial Delivery Manager is part of our Environmental Services Geospatial and Data Services team who determines client needs, proposes optimal geospatial technologies and solutions to meet business needs.

Stantec's Environmental Services group works with clients in mining, local, state, and federal governments, transportation, infrastructure development, power, and oil and gas. We provide Geospatial and Data solutions and mapping services for various projects such as environmental assessments, environmental permitting, water resource and infrastructure planning, wildlife and habitat monitoring, archaeology assessments, heritage studies, and air and noise monitoring.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project and task delivery for geospatial and digital solution engagements.
    • Develop scopes of work, technical approaches, cost estimates, schedules, and staffing plans.
    • Manage project financial performance, budgets, forecasting, utilization, and delivery risks.
    • Develop and maintain client relationships while identifying opportunities for expanded services.
    • Coordinate and lead matrixed project teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Technical management
    • Provide technical leadership and solution architecture guidance for geospatial, data management, automation, and decision support systems.
    • Lead digital transformation initiatives through modernized workflows, automation, and enterprise geospatial solutions.
    • Assess and secure appropriate staffing and technical resources for project execution.
    • Ensure project quality, technical compliance, and adherence to delivery standards.
    • Receive, prioritize, and coordinate project requests and work assignments.
  • Deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with client requirements and Stantec quality standards.
  • Support growth of existing client accounts through trusted advisor relationships and identification of additional service opportunities.
  • Support business development through proposals, SOQs, client presentations, and strategic pursuits.
  • Implement, adhere to, and maintain data integrity and quality control procedures.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships, be a liaison between internal and external staff including project managers, discipline contacts and other consultants.
  • Communicate directly with clients to discuss and present the optimal approach for using geospatial technologies to meet their project needs.
  • Maintain health and safety protocols.
  • Mentor and develop technical staff and emerging project leaders.


Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Required:
  • Working knowledge of Windows 10 Enterprise and using MS Office suite of applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Knowledge of ESRI's software suite, primarily ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, as well as ArcGIS for Desktop.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and utilize GIS solutions to support decision-making, conduct spatial analysis, and effectively communicate complex data and findings to multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated expertise with mobile data collection tools and AGO products (WebMaps, WebApps, Experience Builder, Hub Sites, Dashboards, StoryMaps, etc.).
  • Knowledge of database management and analytics (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Power BI).
  • Customization, automation, and extract-transform-load (ETL): Arcade, Python, FME, ModelBuilder, ArcGIS API
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Strong written, oral, and virtual communication skills for all levels of technical understanding.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

Education and Experience
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Geography, Geospatial Technology, Data Management, Computer Science or relevant area of study.
  • Minimum of 20 years of related experience.
  • Experience in a consulting environment is required.
  • Understanding of Project Management principles.
  • Experience in Marketing and Business Development
  • Ability to understand client needs and synthesize them into concepts and solutions;
  • Ability to lead and execute highly complex or specialized projects;
  • Prior experience in the delivery of GIS products and analytical solutions as they relate to Environmental Assessments, site assessments, and the Environmental Regulatory Process is an asset.
