Summary
We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the AI team at PLACE and help build Ask Gabbi - the AI layer becoming the primary interaction surface inside our CRM.
We're not experimenting with AI. We're shipping it. Ask Gabbi already helps top real estate teams in North America automate marketing, route leads, and run their day through natural conversation. Your work goes straight into the hands of thousands of agents.
This role is for an engineer who wants to build real products powered by LLMs and agents - not train models, not run notebooks. If you're strong in full-stack fundamentals and genuinely curious about how to make agent systems reliable in production, this is the seat.
Responsibilities
What You'll DoShip Full-Stack AI Features.
Build end-to-end: React frontends, Node.js backends, and the LLM orchestration in between. Features land in the CRM and get used the same week.
- Build Ask Gabbi's Agent Layer. Design and ship agents, tools, and jobs using LangChain (Node.js), custom orchestration, and MCP across our AI services (brivity-ai-api, alf-api).
- Integrate Smart Systems. Wire LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic), embeddings, and Weaviate into workflows that make agents move faster - CRM, transactions, marketing, comms.
- Own the Full Path. From API design to React UX to deployment. You ship it, you own it, you improve it.
- Scale in Production. Partner with platform/DevOps to keep services fast, secure, and observable on our cloud infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally. Work directly with product, design, and me (AI Innovation Lead) to shape what gets built and why.
- Grow With the Field. You don't need to be an AI expert on day one - you need to be a strong engineer who's hungry to become one.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years building production web applications, frontend and backend
- Strong Node.js / TypeScript for backend work
- Strong React (Next.js a plus) for frontend work
- Comfortable shipping production code, writing tests, and deploying to cloud infrastructure
- Bias toward shipping - you'd rather cut scope than ship late
Nice to Have
- Production experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic)
- Familiarity with LangChain, MCP, or custom agent orchestration
- Some Python for supporting services and AI tooling
- Worked with vector databases (Weaviate, pgvector, or similar)
- Experience with real estate tech, CRM systems, or B2B SaaS
- Curiosity about the harder problems: agent evaluation, tool reliability, latency, cost
