Position Overview

Valitana is seeking a Full Stack Developer with a strong backend focus to help build and scale Vantage, our multi-asset trade and portfolio management platform used by institutional investors to manage complex workflows across various asset classes.

This role will be primarily responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services, APIs, and data pipelines, while collaborating closely with frontend engineers to support performant, reliable user experiences. The ideal candidate brings strong system design instincts, experience working with data-intensive applications, and the ability to translate sophisticated financial and operational requirements into secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and core application logic supporting client-facing platforms.
• Help improve scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and client-facing teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Write, maintain, and review automated unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and system stability.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and proactively identify technical risks.
• Contribute to software design discussions, code reviews, and documentation across the Vantage Technology team.
• Support end-to-end delivery of features from design through deployment and post-release monitoring.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer or Back-End Developer within the FinTech or technology space.
• Proficiency in server-side programming languages and technologies - C#/.Net, ASP.Net Core, Entity Framework, SQL, Python is a plus.
• Experience with web frameworks and technologies - Angular, Javascript, Typescript.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud-based architectures, distributed systems, and modern deployment practices.
• Experience working in agile development environments
• Self-starter with a strategic mindset and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
• Experience supporting data-intensive, client-facing applications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Preferred: Understanding of financial products, particularly structured products

What We Offer

The base salary range for this role is $145,000 - $180,000. Valitana offers a competitive compensation package which includes base salary and an annual performance bonus. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes an employer matched retirement plan, healthcare with medical, dental, vision, telemedicine, and PTO.

Employees in this role will work in the office Mondays through Wednesdays with the flexibility to work remotely Thursdays and Fridays.
