Position Description:

This position must be performed on-site, hybrid in St. Louis, MO.

Join a team responsible for designing and delivering cloud-based applications that support complex business processes and data driven decision making. This role offers the opportunity to own solutions end to end, from stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering through architecture, development, deployment, and production support.

You will work across application development, cloud platforms, data engineering, systems integration, and solution architecture. The ideal candidate enjoys solving challenging business problems, building scalable applications, and translating complex requirements into practical technical solutions.

This position is best suited for an experienced engineer who is comfortable working across the full technology stack, collaborating directly with business stakeholders, and taking ownership of technical outcomes. While user interfaces are part of the solution, the primary focus is on application functionality, data processing, cloud services, and overall system design.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Own the full software development lifecycle for enterprise applications from requirements through production deployment.
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and technical workshops with stakeholders.
• Design and develop cloud native applications using modern application development frameworks and services.
• Design and implement scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations.
• Build and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and ETL pipelines.
• Integrate data from multiple cloud platforms, databases, and enterprise systems.
• Design and manage relational and NoSQL database solutions.
• Develop solutions utilizing serverless and containerized architectures.
• Design and implement workflow orchestration and event driven processing solutions.
• Define and document application architecture, integration patterns, and technical standards.
• Configure and support cloud networking components to enable secure and scalable application access.
• Ensure application reliability, scalability, security, and performance.
• Partner with cross functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and deliver enhancements.
• Mentor team members and contribute to engineering best practices.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 8+ years of software engineering experience delivering enterprise applications.
• Strong experience developing applications using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Hands on experience designing and implementing solutions within AWS.
• Experience with serverless architectures, including AWS Lambda.
• Experience with containerized workloads and orchestration platforms such as AWS Fargate.
• Experience developing and supporting ETL and data integration solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPC configuration and application connectivity.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and large datasets.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, application architecture, and integration patterns.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Demonstrated ownership of applications from design through implementation and support.

Desired Skills:
• Experience leading teams or serving as a technical lead.
• Experience mentoring engineers and supporting technical growth.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery.
• Experience with AWS Step Functions, Glue, DynamoDB, and S3.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $198,000.00.
