A Day in the LifeAs a Finance Senior Manager, you'll be responsible for producing accurate job-cost accounting reports, monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results, preparing, and reviewing client invoicing and project setup, budgeting activities, and other duties assigned by the Controller. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, both big picture and detailed oriented, focused on identifying opportunities/problems and providing solutions.
The compensation range for this role is
$145,000 to $180,000, in addition to an annual bonus (12%), commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location
To thrive in this role, you'll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:
- Assists the Controller with day-to-day operations of the Accounting/Finance Department
- Prepares annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for various segments within Consulting
- Performs monthly Finance and Strategy reviews with Consulting Leadership
- Assist in delivery of Strategic Initiatives within Consulting
- Works closely with Finance Director and Consulting Leadership to deliver Financial Analytical recommendations
- Work closely with Corporate Accounting and Shared Services to ensure Corporate Initiatives are met
- Job cost accounting for multiple projects
- Prepares monthly reports on project status, including budget and forecasting for WIP
- Creates and maintains project level accounts and task budgets
- Coordinates with project team on change order tracking and billing
- Project accounting and reconciliation
- Work with Project Managers in a variety of disciplines
- Review subcontracts, purchase orders and Subcontractor change orders to ensure accurate posting
- Ensure that the subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors account balances are correct and reconciled
- Project setup, billing terms and contract management
- Management of sub-consultants and relevant contracts
- Invoice preparation and coordination with Project Managers
- Act as liaison between Subcontractors and Project Team and Accounting
- Timesheet and expense processing
- Maintains confidentiality at all times
- Exercises safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs
- Participates in the company's continuous improvement programs and provides support to team efforts
- Keeps up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Bachelors' degree in Accounting (preferably in Architecture/Engineering/Construction Industry)
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience in Finance / Accounting positions, including 3 years minimum experience in Finance / Accounting Manager level role
- Familiarity with accounting software (Workday experience is a plus)
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite
