Position Summary

Department

Finance

The Senior Financial Analyst partners with business leaders to deliver financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and business intelligence solutions that support strategic decision-making. This role combines advanced FP&A expertise with strong data extraction, analytics, and visualization capabilities to transform complex financial and operational data into actionable insights. The position plays a key role in budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, dashboard development, and process improvement initiatives across the organization.

Essential Duties
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes; partner with department leaders to develop and maintain financial assumptions and performance targets.
  • Extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple systems and databases using business intelligence and analytics tools to support financial reporting and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and automated reporting solutions that improve visibility into business performance and key performance indicators.
  • Perform variance analysis, profitability analysis, and trend analysis; identify key business drivers, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
  • Build and enhance forecasting, planning, and scenario models to evaluate strategic initiatives and business performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand operational drivers, support business cases, and provide data-driven insights that improve financial and operational performance.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting, presentations, and financial packages that clearly communicate financial results and strategic recommendations.
  • Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement of financial reporting and analytical processes.
  • Support ad hoc analyses, strategic projects, and management requests with accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis
  • Experience in the banking or credit union industries highly preferred
  • 5-8+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, business intelligence, or related finance functions.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake and Power Query. Proficient with Prologue and Axiom.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and enterprise planning systems preferred.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
