Job Description

Summary

This position is for a senior accounting professional that will use critical thinking and communication skills to apply accounting theory and knowledge. This position will apply skills to specific areas such as cost accounting, manufacturing analysis, account reconciliations, and accounting policy compliance for Special Metals Corporation. This individual must ensure accuracy of financial statements by providing accurate accounting of transactions in area of responsibility in compliance with Sarbanes - Oxley (SOX) and PCC corporate policies. This position will require providing guidance and counsel for the work of others within the Accounting department.

Essential Functions
  • Management/Operations Support, not limited to:
  • Process Improvement:
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly Excess and Obsolete, Variance Capitalization, and LCM calculations/analysis.
  • Prepare and enter month-end journal entries, such as accruals and regularly recurring monthly entries.
  • Reconcile monthly inventory and cost of sales GL accounts.

• Participate in audits of financial data and processes.
• Assist in Cycle Counting.
  • Light weekend work and travel as required.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
• BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Business with an emphasis in Accounting. CPA/MBA preferred.
• 5-7 years of Accounting/Finance experience
• Knowledge of Statutory accounting principles.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $83,800 to $125,600 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
