  • Assist in building and maintaining P&L views across the HealthEdge product portfolio
  • Track and analyze software development costs to ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Maintain workforce planning models for the R&D organization
  • Prepare quarterly forecasts and annual operating plan inputs for cost centers
  • Develop business cases and analyses for feature/product investment decisions
  • Collaborate on ad hoc analysis and improve forecasting and reporting processes

Overview

PositionOverview: The Senior Financial Analyst R&D/Product supports financial planning, analysis, and reporting forHealthEdgeResearch & Development and Product organizations.AsaSr.Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our finance team and senior management byprovidingvaluable insights, analysis, and recommendations to drive strategic decision-making andoptimizefinancial performance.This role partners with Engineering and Product teams to deliveraccurateforecasts, variance analysis, and financial insights that inform investment decisions, working closely with the R&D Finance Business Partner on execution of the broader planning and reporting agenda.

Your Impact:

  • Support monthly close, budget-to-actual variance analysis, and reporting for R&D/Product cost centers, flagging risks and opportunities to the Finance Business Partner
  • Assistin building andmaintainingbusiness segment-level P&L views acrossHealthEdgeproduct portfolio (HealthRulesPayer, Source, Care Solutions,BPaaSHealthProof, and others)
  • Track capitalized vs. expensed software development costs, supporting compliance with ASC 350-40 in partnership withAccounting
  • Maintain and update headcount and workforce planning models for the R&D organization, including FTE/contractor mix
  • Prepare quarterly forecast and annual operating plan inputs for R&D/Product cost centers
  • Build supporting analysis and business cases for feature/product investment decisions, including ROI and payback calculations
  • Develop andmaintainrecurring KPI reporting for leadership review
  • Partner with Engineering and Product stakeholders on ad hoc analysis requests and data requests
  • Support process improvement initiatives to streamline forecasting, reporting, and month-end close activities
  • Assistwith financial due diligence and integration analysis for R&D/Product-related M&A activity as needed

What You Bring:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 35 years of FP&A or accounting experience, ideally with exposure to R&D/Engineering finance in a SaaS or technology environment
  • Working knowledge of software capitalization accounting & core SaaS metrics a plus
  • Strong Excel/financial modeling skills; experience with planning systems (Hyperion, or similar) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Comfortable partnering with technical stakeholders in a matrixed organization
  • Strong interpersonaland communicationskills,with the ability totranslate financial informationinto clear, actionable insights, andcollaborate effectively across functionstoinfluence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • PE-backed company experience a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deliverables under deadline pressure

Geographic Responsibility:  This role is based in Boston, MA and follows a hybrid work schedule

**The annual US base salary range for this position is $102,000 to $108,000. This salary range may cover multiple career levels at HealthEdge. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process and is based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, your skills, experience, qualifications and education.
