Full Job Description
Hiring Requirements:
Bimbo Canada is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to lead a team of 2 Financial Analysts to liase with sales to manage the company's trade programs, and to support sales business analytics.

Core responsibilities include the management, analysis, reporting, forecasting, and validation of trade spend, customer programs, and trade accruals. This role partners closely with Sales, Commercial Finance, Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate trade spend reporting, strong financial controls, and timely business insights.This individual will also be responsible for monthend reporting and sales analytics for a Customer Business Team (CBT), which includes analyzing customer results on a monthly basis and presenting to the sales team.

The successful candidate will ultimately be a subject matter expert in Trade, and first point of contract with Sales for the CBT they are assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support a team of 2 to perform trade deductions, payments, and accruals in Blue Planner and Oracle
  • Monthly review of trade results and presentation to peers
  • Preparation and review of monthly results, performing root cause variance analysis versus budget, prior year, and other benchmarks as required
  • Detailed analysis of promotional effectiveness, work with Revenue Growth Management and sales teams on optimizing future promotions
  • Maintain modelling and play a key role in customer contract analysis when required
  • Bi-weekly and monthly presentations to respective Sales & Regional customers
  • Communicate business results to Sales leaders and Internal stakeholders
  • Accountable for development, production, validation, and optimization of information databases and standard reporting
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 2 direct reports, support their growth, performance, and career progression
  • Leverage previous experience and learn to optimize current processes, reporting, daily tasks, etc.
  • Other Ad-hoc financial / business projects and reporting as required
Experience & Education:
  • 3+ years of financial experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VBA / Macros) an asset
  • Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate and present clearly with a variety of audiences
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a high-paced work environment
  • Must be a proactive team player who can work with limited supervision
  • University or College degree in Accounting / Finance / Business
  • Skill in data aggregation and analysis considered an asset
  • CPA / CFA designation or enrollment in CPA / CFA Certification Program considered an asset
The annual salary range for applicants is: $70,000 - $104,750, which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other factors.
