As one of the Senior Financial Analysts you will report to the Manager, Financial Planning and will coordinate and/or prepare complex financial and statistical analysis and reports and provide interpretation of analyses and reports to support business requirements for CapitalCare.
While Acting Responsibly you will place emphasis on budgets, forecasting, financial reporting, recommendations for program and/or cost efficiencies and development or enhancements to processes and controls. The Senior Financial Analyst applies broad accounting principles, understands legal requirements and interpretation of policy/procedure guidelines.
Senior Financial Analysts perform complex and multidimensional activities related to interpretation of financial and/or accounting reports, provides effective recommendations for program and cost efficiencies, and develops/enhances processes and internal controls. While Coming from the Heart you will coach and guide other department and/or Centre staff members while ensuring on-going supportive relationships.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
• A Professional Accounting Designation or working towards an accounting designation, or Business Degree majoring in accounting.
• A minimum of five years' experience in accounting, preferably in a large organization.
• An equivalent combination of education, skills and experience will be considered.
• Experience with Oracle Financial systems is an asset. Advanced proficiency required in the utilization of spreadsheets, databases, and accounting/financial systems.
• Excellent communication, strong analytical and organizational skills required.
• Ability to meet defined deadlines.
Related Knowledge
• Advanced level skill in Microsoft Office and Excel applications is required.
