Your Opportunity

Our Oakville office is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, Business Restructuring & Turnaround Services to join our Corporate Restructuring team. This is a new role, and the successful candidate will own the following responsibilities:
  • Analyzing financial data, reviewing financial models and accounting records;
  • Assessing companies' current financial position, business plans and financial forecasts;
  • Preparing integrated cash flow models;
  • Assisting the team in advising corporations, lenders, creditors, shareholders, regulators or the Courts through financial reviews, business turnarounds, and financial restructurings (formal or informal);
  • Participating in practice development opportunities; and
  • Flexibility to meet stakeholders and work during non-business hours.

Your experience and education
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in a professional accounting services firm (in Audit an asset)
  • Experience in the corporate restructuring field is an asset, but not required
  • Proven analytical and systematic problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Enrolled or willing to enroll in the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) program
  • CPA designation is considered an asset
  • Detail oriented, excellent organizational skills
  • Able to prioritize with the flexibility to manage workload demands and multiple tasks as required
  • Candidate must have access to reliable transportation, as travel to other BDO offices and off-site locations may be required.
    The expected range of compensation for this role is $68,000-$104,000 annually.


Flexibility: All BDO personnel are expected to spend some of their time working in the office, at the client site, and virtually unless accommodations or alternative work arrangements are in place.
