Job Description:

Leads system forecasting process and is a key contributor to annual and long-range financial planning of health system revenues and expenses. Assists numerous service lines as a dedicated financial and business partner. Demonstrates expert knowledge as a system financial resource.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.

Five years health care or seven years non-health care applicable business experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads health system forecasting of revenues and expenses
  • Contributes in a key role of financial plan preparation; both annual and five-year financial plans
  • Communicates financial plans to system leadership
  • Performs value-added analysis and support to achieve system financial and operational targets
  • Performs numerous special projects as requested by health system leadership
  • Completes financial analysis for leaders to aid in management and business decisions
  • Develops and implements processes to ensure financial information is communicated to leaders in an effective and timely manner
  • Participates in committees as a representative of the finance department
  • Performs general ledger accounting entries
  • Partners with leaders to understand benchmarking and develop strategies to connect to system targets
  • Works with process improvement to support continuous improvement activities
  • Provides leadership and guidance by demonstrating expert knowledge as a financial resource
  • Completes work-papers for year-end financial audit
  • Compiles necessary financial reports
  • Educates operational leaders on financial matters
  • Actively participates and/or facilitates full-time equivalency (FTE) committee
  • Provides age-appropriate care/service as applicable to role
  • Provides culturally appropriate care/service
  • Maintains regular scheduled hours
