Senior Finance Manager

Why This is an Exciting Role:

Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is currently seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join the team in Annapolis Junction, MD.

As a part of the Intelligence Systems team inside Boeing's Space, Intelligence and Weapons Systems organization, you would support the Boeing Intelligence & Analytics business unit as the Senior Finance Manager on the BI&A Leadership Team.

This position is responsible for leading a team of professionals across financial analysis, estimating, accounting, contracts administration and supply chain. With employees across a diverse set of skills, this is a challenging Senior Manager role with many opportunities to participate in shaping the direction of the business in conjunction with the business unit CEO leader and with other finance professionals in Intelligence Systems.
  • Manage employees and first line managers performing end-to-end accounting processes, estimating, financial reporting, contract administration and supply chain procedures
  • Develop and execute integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures
  • Support the business unit's pursuit of technical strategies, goals, objectives
  • Acquire resources for organizational activities and lead process improvements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and regulatory agency requirements such as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Act as a primary focal with various Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) offices
  • Performing risk and opportunity analysis
  • Manage, develop and motivate employees and first line managers


Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Years of Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 7+ years of experience in a finance or contracts related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contract Administration or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)

Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience leading or managing a team
  • 4+ years of experience with defense programs
  • Experience with team and talent development
  • Experience with improving ways of working and streamlining processes
  • Experience influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders across functions

Desired Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance or the ability to obtain
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS) and Estimates at Complete (EAC)
  • Strong knowledge of government contracting accounting rules, FAR/DFARS and related compliance and audit requirements
  • Experience developing finance and contracts teams
  • Experience utilizing JAMIS ERP system
  • MBA, CPA, CFCM or equivalent advanced certification is strongly preferred


Telework/Remote Availability: Hybrid work authorized (minimum 3 days onsite, preference of 4 days onsite)

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$163,000 - $200,000
