Job Description:

Saab, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Representative with a broad technical background and experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting radar, command and control (C2) systems, or weapons systems in dynamic environments worldwide. This hands-on role requires up to 50% travel, with assignments that may exceed two months in duration. Candidates must be able to work effectively in demanding operational settings.

The ideal candidate has strong technical problem-solving skills, a desire to help others, and is comfortable training peers and customers in both formal and on-the-job settings. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge defense technologies and contribute directly to mission success.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and debug complex systems using technical manuals, schematics, and reach-back support to resolve electro-mechanical issues.

  • Perform software installations at customer sites and support data collection events for analysis.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues independently or in collaboration with others.

  • Respond to situations where first-line technicians have been unable to isolate or resolve problems with malfunctioning equipment or software.

  • Report design, reliability, and maintenance issues to engineering teams.

  • Serve as the primary interface with customers while on site.

  • Support other company functional areas, including customer installations and training.

  • Deliver customer training on the operation and maintenance of Saab products.

Compensation Range: $92,200 - $115,300

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in an engineering discipline with 5+ years of experience, MA/MS degree with 3+ years of experience, or a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 9+ years of relevant military experience supporting radar, C2, or weapon systems.

  • Must hold an active U.S. DoD Secret Clearance or higher.

  • Must be capable of lifting, carrying, and replacing components weighing up to 50 pounds or more.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with radar, C2, weapon systems, or other complex electrical systems.

  • Ability to independently perform system troubleshooting and maintenance using established procedures to resolve complex issues.

  • Ability to perform system troubleshooting and maintenance beyond the scope of written procedures.

  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to use common diagnostic test equipment, such as a digital multimeter (DMM) and an oscilloscope.

  • Ability to identify degraded system performance and recommend methods for improvement.
