The Opportunity

The Senior Field Quality Engineer delivers execution and oversight for quality assurance and control across complex, mission-critical projects. This role ensures compliance with international standards, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and mentors junior engineers. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop advanced quality frameworks, manage supplier quality programs, and ensure flawless execution of QA/QC processes throughout the project lifecycle.

What you will do?
  • Lead development and implementation of enterprise-level QA/QC strategies, inspection protocols, and test plans for electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Oversee root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action programs for systemic issues.
  • Manage supplier quality audits and qualification programs globally.
  • Direct commissioning and validation activities for large-scale installations, ensuring compliance with NEC, ASME, AWS, ASTM, IEC, IEEE, and ISO standards.
  • Serve as primary quality liaison for executive stakeholders and clients, providing technical guidance and reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain advanced QA documentation systems, including digital NCR tracking and analytics dashboards.
  • Mentor and train QA/QC engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of quality excellence.

Represent the organization in regulatory and certification audits.

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of quality assurance or field engineering experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with team members, supervisor, and customers.
  • Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001, NFPA 70E, NEC, ASME, ASTM, and related quality codes.
  • Hands-on experience in field commissioning, inspection, and testing of both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Preferred: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • Preferred: NFPA CESCP, ASME GDTP, or NETA Level II Certification
  • OSHA 30-Hour (General Industry or Electrical Safety)
  • Strong understanding of quality engineering tools: FMEA, SPC, PPAP, control plans.
  • Highly experienced in mechanical systems, emphasis on cooling and design
  • Proficiency with mechanical measurement tools (CMM, calipers, gauges, micrometers).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and safety.
  • Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Proactive and adaptable to changing field environments.
