$155,000-$185,000 + BenefitsMayersohn Law Group, P.A. is seeking a Senior Family Law Attorney with strong litigation and trial experience to handle complex, high-value family law cases. This role is ideal for an experienced family law attorney who can independently manage divorce, custody, and high-asset matters from intake through resolution.
We are looking for a strategic, courtroom-ready attorney with experience in contested family law litigation, including hearings, mediations, and trial proceedings. Trial experience is strongly preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesFamily Law Litigation- Serve as lead family law attorney on divorce, custody, support, and post-judgment matters
- Handle contested family law cases, including high-asset divorce and complex custody disputes
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial
- Maintain strong courtroom presence and advocacy
Case Strategy and Management- Develop and execute litigation strategies for complex family law matters
- Identify risks, financial issues, and evidentiary challenges early
- Manage cases from intake through final resolution with full ownership
- Maintain organized, deadline-driven case management
Legal Drafting and Analysis- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements
- Conduct legal research and apply strong analytical reasoning
- Prepare cases for hearings, mediation, and trial
Client Communication- Advise clients on legal strategy, risk, and case progression
- Communicate clearly and professionally in sensitive situations
- Manage expectations with a high level of discretion and empathy
QualificationsRequired- Significant Florida family law experience
- Strong litigation background in family law cases
- Courtroom experience (hearings, evidentiary proceedings; trial preferred)
- Active Florida Bar license in good standing
- Ability to manage cases independently
- Ability to meet billable hour requirements
Preferred- Trial experience in family law matters
- Experience with high-asset divorce, business valuation, or complex financial issues
- Experience mentoring or leading support staff
