Williams Plumbing based in Belgrade Montana is looking for a Senior Estimator to lead the development of accurate, competitive cost estimates for large and complex mechanical and plumbing projects. This role goes beyond just building estimates - you'll help shape bid strategy, mentor team members, and ensure consistency and quality across all estimating efforts.

If you have deep industry knowledge, strong analytical skills, and enjoy leading others while staying hands-on, this is a great opportunity to make an impact.

  • Perform deep analysis of construction documents to identify scope gaps, design risks, and cost exposures
  • Direct vendor and subcontractor strategy, including leveling, negotiations, and final buyout recommendations
  • Own final estimate development, including full cost modeling (labor, material, equipment, subcontractors, overhead, contingency)
  • Mentor the estimating team, driving standards, consistency, and continuous process improvement

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 7+ years of estimating experience with a track record of leading large, complex mechanical/plumbing bids
  • Expert-level knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems, including cost drivers, constructability, and installation methods
  • Proven ability to own and deliver full-scope estimates independently for high-value, multi-trade projects
  • Advanced expertise in interpreting drawings, specs, contracts, and identifying risk gaps before bid
  • Demonstrated experience in leading bid strategy, subcontractor/vendor negotiations, and final pricing decisions
  • Strong leadership presence with experience mentoring estimators and influencing team standards and performance
