Position OverviewThe Senior Estimator will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs and providing detailed estimates for construction projects. This role involves collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure that all aspects of the project's financial requirements are understood and addressed.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overhead.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive estimates.
- Review and assess subcontractor quotes and proposals to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project specifications.
- Monitor project costs and provide updates to management on budget status and potential cost overruns.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to keep abreast of market trends and pricing changes.
- Participate in bid review meetings and present estimates to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for construction projects.
- Strong proficiency in construction estimation software and tools.
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
