Candidate will provide senior-level Epic application expertise focused on Health Information Management, Coding, and Abstracting workflows. The role will partner with healthcare, operational, and IT stakeholders to optimize workflows, resolve application issues, support system enhancements, and improve overall efficiency and compliance.
Required Qualifications of the Senior Epic HIM Analyst:- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Epic applications; 7 years preferred.
- Active Epic Certification in Health Information Management - Coding and Abstracting.
- Hands-on experience supporting, configuring, and optimizing Epic HIM Coding and Abstracting functionality.
- Strong understanding of healthcare HIM and coding workflows.
- Recent healthcare industry experience preferred.
- Experience working with HIM coding operations and related business processes.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot application issues and develop effective solutions.
- Experience collaborating with clinical, revenue cycle, operational, IT, and project management teams.
- Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and end-user training skills.
Preferred Skills/Experience of the Senior Epic HIM Analyst:- 7+ years of Epic experience.
- Recent hands-on healthcare experience.
- HIM coding operational experience with a strong understanding of coding workflows.
- Experience with Epic upgrades, implementations, testing, and new functionality.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance, data security, reporting, and business intelligence.
Responsibilities of the Senior Epic HIM Analyst:- Analyze and optimize Epic HIM Coding and Abstracting workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Epic functionality while investigating and resolving system issues.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and implement workflow enhancements.
- Support Epic upgrades, system changes, testing activities, implementations, and new functionality.
- Develop training materials and documentation and provide education and support to end users.
- Analyze operational data and reporting needs while helping ensure system usage aligns with healthcare regulations and security standards.
Work Location: Remote. EST Hours.
