We are looking for a Senior Environmental Scientist to oversee, review, and sign off on Stage I, and II, Site Investigations as well as remediation reports. As a Senior Technical Advisor, you will play a key role in managing surface land deliverables across a range of oil and gas and facility-related projects throughout British Columbia. Your experience in environmental site assessments and surface land remediation programs will be critical to the success of our operations. Make a Difference • Oversee Stage 1 and Stage 2 Preliminary Site Investigations, Detailed Site Investigations and remediation programs for industrial and oil and gas clients. • Develop and implement creative solutions for clients' environmental challenges. • Lead and supervise small and large-scale remediation projects. • Analyze and interpret collected information; review and sign off on technical reports. • Stay current with relevant regulations, codes, and industry best practices to ensure clients adheres to all applicable standards • Provide direction for long term Certificates of Restoration from the BCER • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, directives, and SOP's. • Work closely to develop client relationships and project strategy. • Lead and champion a culture of excellence, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of health, safety, and quality across all areas of operation. • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, while fostering continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory and external client requirements. Showcase your Education & Expertise • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, biological science or related field. • Registration with a British Columbia professional association. • 8+ years' experience with environmental site assessments, soil sampling, groundwater monitoring and site remediation. • Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams. • Possess strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and technical writing skills. • Effective management of activities requiring the use of environmental consultants or contractors. • Good sense of humour and strong admiration of all things Swayze (Patrick) is an asset. • Role requires a valid driver's license.
