We are seeking a highly skilled Business Architect to provide comprehensive architectural leadership in translating Navy Federal business strategies into effective business and technology capabilities through the planning and design of business systems, products and services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining business architecture frameworks, ensuring that business processes, capabilities, and systems are aligned with the overall enterprise strategy, and drive business transformational efforts while minimizing architectural and operational risk.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain business architecture processes, artifacts and models that support the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and guide business strategic planning.
  • Provide forward-thinking industry expertise and thought leadership in current and emerging technologies, market trends and best practices.
  • Identify and analyze business processes, capabilities, and systems to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams in the design and implementation of business solutions.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of existing business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of business architecture, including process maps, capability models, and system diagrams.
  • Ensure that business architecture aligns with security, integration, and architecture best practices.
  • Participate in the review and approval process for new business solutions and initiatives.
  • Anticipate and plan for internal and/or external business challenges (i.e.. Regulatory, Compliance, etc.), with the ability to recommend process, product or service enhancements.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in business architecture and related fields.
  • Build and maintain relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders and/or external contacts (i.e., vendors, etc.).


Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience serving in the role of a Business Architect supporting various functional domains across medium to large scale enterprises to achieve strategic and organizational goals.
  • Proven ability to communicate and influence business units and stakeholders with business concepts and practices effectively.
  • Expertise in translating business strategy and requirements into comprehensive, useful, and clear architecture artifacts.
  • Proficiency in facilitating discussions, interviews, review and validation of architecture designs by business users and audience
  • Expertise in business analysis, and development of business architecture perspectives
  • Significant experience in performing various forms of business analyses
  • Significant experience in leading, guiding and mentoring professional staff
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team within a matrixed environment
  • Advanced skill using analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve business challenges and identify patterns for reuse
  • Advanced skill using creative and innovative thinking to create original concepts and approaches for various projects and stakeholders
  • Advanced skill building effective relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy and tact

  • Advanced knowledge of banking and financial industry standards and practices
  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory and compliance-related mandates such as CCPA and GDPR
  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business related field
