Opportunity Overview

Teradyne Defense & Aerospace Total Solutions (TPS) is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead complex automated test solution development programs. In this highly visible role, you will drive the successful execution of multidisciplinary engineering programs while partnering closely with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet technical, schedule, and business objectives.

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead cross-functional engineering teams across hardware, software, systems, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineering disciplines.
  • Own program execution including cost, schedule, scope, technical performance, risk management, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program schedules and drive achievement of key milestones and deliverables.
  • Lead customer reviews, technical interchange meetings, executive program reviews, and status reporting activities.
  • Identify program risks and opportunities, develop mitigation strategies, and drive issue resolution.
  • Manage suppliers and subcontractors supporting program execution and delivery commitments.
  • Establish and monitor program metrics related to contractual, financial, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Mentor project management team members and promote program management best practices.
  • Support business growth initiatives, proposal development activities, and long-range strategic planning efforts.

  • Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, preferably Siemens Teamcenter.
  • Experience utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and understanding engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and program management business processes.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to support customers, suppliers, and program execution activities (approximately 10-20%).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Previous experience managing defense, aerospace, or automated test equipment development programs.
  • Master of Science, Master of Engineering, or MBA.
  • Degree concentrations may include Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical disciplines.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $140,500-$224,800. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
