Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Improve existing Test Infrastructure capability and capacity in the factory
  • Develop and deploy new Test Infrastructure in the factory
  • Develop and deploy custom Test Infrastructure for R&D
  • Continuously (24/7) maintain new and existing Test Infrastructure in the factory
  • Setup & improve material flow process through the Test Infrastructure in the factory
  • Support the Test Infrastructure requirements for multiple product teams simultaneously
  • Develop, execute, and analyze DOEs
  • Develop and maintain Test Infrastructure via SPC and other techniques
  • Develop, improve, and maintain Test & Process SOP and OCAP documentation
  • Provide Test Equipment & Process related training to operators & technicians
  • Frequently analyze and report on Tool health, Process health, and Project status
  • Develop calibration and validation routines for Test Equipment
  • Meet and improve upon Test related KPI goals
  • Ownership and accountability of Test Infrastructure and Performance in the factory
  • Frequently present verbal and written updates and reports to upper management
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and ensure project and product successes
  • Interfacing and reporting to internal and external customers on projects

Education & Experience
  • Minimum 2 yr. semiconductor, analog, or similar Test and Measurement experience
  • MS or equivalent degree, PhD preferred
  • High volume manufacturing experience strongly preferred

Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of optics, mechanics, and electronics theory
  • Excellent laboratory skills using high speed test equipment such as network analyzers, pattern generators, oscilloscopes, error detectors, micrometers, microscopes, etc.
  • Cursory knowledge of programming or scripting languages
  • Quick learner with abstract and foreign concepts
  • Great self-management & prioritization skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong reporting, logging, and documentation skills
  • Strong direct ownership of projects and ability to successfully complete them within cross-functional teams
  • High proficiency with MS Office suite and similar software
  • Experience with popular mathematical, engineering, and statistical software packages
  • Demonstrated decision making based on data and statistics
  • Ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work in high stress environment
  • Strong interpersonal/teaming skills to able to effectively collaborate with other cross-functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization to achieve business unit and organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrated good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Ability to juggle many tasks simultaneously and continually report on progress

Working Conditions
  • This position will support 24/7 factory operations inside a cleanroom
  • Some days may be spent nearly entirely on the cleanroom floor in cleanroom attire
  • Some days may be spent nearly entirely sitting at cubicle desk
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work in high physical and mental stress environment
  • Must be able to work from incomplete/non-existent documentation and instructions
  • Holiday/nights/weekends work may be necessary depending on project/production deadlines

Physical Requirements
  • Includes working on mechanical systems within a production cleanroom and/or lab
  • Includes working with laptops & desktops within a production cleanroom and/or cubicle
  • Requires bending at the waist and/or knees
  • Requires leaning/reaching into mechanical systems
  • Requires bundling/unbundling cabling on the floor
  • Requires lifting up to 50lb
  • Requires using microscopes and other metrology tools
  • Requires working in full cleanroom attire including laser safety goggles

Quality and Environmental Responsibilities

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
