Position OverviewThe Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Digital & Automation is responsible for driving advanced manufacturing capabilities within Motivair by Schneider Electric by leading initiatives in digitalization, process optimization, and automation. This role ensures efficient, scalable, and high-quality production of AI infrastructure cooling systems through the deployment of Industry 4.0 technologies, robust quality systems, and automated assembly and testing solutions.
What will you do?Digital Manufacturing- Lead the digitalization of work instructions, transforming manual processes into standardized, interactive digital formats (e.g., MES-integrated solutions)
- Develop and deploy digital systems to enhance traceability, operator guidance, and process control
- Integrate manufacturing data streams to support real-time visibility and continuous improvement
Automation & Capital Projects- Lead specification, design, and deployment of automated assembly and testing systems
- Evaluate and integrate technologies such as robotics, vision systems, PLC-controlled systems, and smart fixtures
- Manage automation-related capital projects from concept, justification, and procurement through installation and commissioning
- Ensure compliance with Schneider Electric safety and sustainability standards
Quality Systems & Compliance- Define, implement, and sustain quality control documentation and standards aligned with Schneider Electric quality policies
- Ensure end-to-end traceability of production and test data
- Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
End-of-Line Testing & Data Management- Implement automated systems for test data acquisition, storage, and analysis
- Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams to define test protocols, acceptance criteria, and validation standards
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools to enable data-driven decision-making
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence- Drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Sustainability (SQDCS) metrics
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, and Digital teams
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians
What are the key skills we are looking for:- Strong knowledge of:
- Assembly processes and production systems
- End-of-line testing and validation methods
- Quality systems (ISO-based environments, PFMEA, Control Plans)
- Familiarity with:
- PLC programming, robotics, and industrial automation
- Data analytics tools
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma principles
What qualifications will make you successful:Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering
- Demonstrated experience in digital manufacturing transformation and automation deployment
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with thermal management, HVAC, or liquid cooling systems
- Exposure to data center or AI infrastructure manufacturing
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)

- Up to 10-20% travel may be required to support supplier visits, benchmarking, or other Schneider Electric sites
For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 101,600 - USD 152,400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
