The Opportunity:

The Senior Compliance Solutions Engineer is the technical owner and primary engineer for an enterprise compliance and investigation platform built on Microsoft Power Platform. Power Pages provides the application and identity foundation, but this is not a traditional low-code role: the platform includes a substantial custom JavaScript application layer, custom HTML/CSS/Liquid, Dataverse, Power Automate, custom APIs/plugins, and supporting automation. The engineer is responsible for continuing to build, enhance, secure, document, and support the platform across the full software-development lifecycle.

This role uses modern agentic AI coding tools as a core engineering workflow. The engineer will use Claude Code and other AI tools to accelerate architecture, implementation, refactoring, debugging, testing, documentation, and delivery while remaining accountable for the correctness, security, maintainability, and supportability of the resulting code. The successful candidate will combine strong technical judgment with the ability to translate compliance and audit needs into scalable, user-friendly technology solutions.

Essential Job Functions:

• Serve as the technical owner for the compliance solutions platform, translating business requirements into solution architecture, development plans, production releases, and ongoing enhancements.
• Design, build, and maintain custom Power Pages experiences that rely on substantial JavaScript rather than only standard low-code forms; develop and troubleshoot asynchronous client-side logic, Dataverse Web API calls, OData/FetchXML queries, dynamic rendering, validation, file handling, and workflow-driven user experiences.
• Design and evolve Dataverse tables, relationships, configuration data, metadata-driven features, forms, views, security roles, web roles, table permissions, and other data-governance controls.
• Develop and maintain Power Automate workflows for case processing, approvals, notifications, contributor requests, imports, synchronization, AI-assisted processing, escalations, and operational monitoring.
• Develop server-side extensions when low-code capabilities are insufficient, including Dataverse plugins/custom APIs using C# and related integration patterns.
• Create and maintain supporting automation using PowerShell, TypeScript/Office Scripts, Excel/VBA, REST APIs, JSON, and other scripting technologies when needed for migration, administration, testing, reconciliation, or operational support.
• Use Claude Code and/or OpenAI Codex as an integrated development environment for repo-level engineering work, including solution decomposition, multi-file code changes, debugging, refactoring, test generation, code review, documentation, and Git-based development workflows.
• Review and validate AI-generated code before deployment; identify insecure, inefficient, brittle, incorrect, or unnecessarily complex implementations and improve them to production standards.
• Integrate Power Platform solutions with enterprise services and data sources such as Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Workday, Excel, APIs, SQL/data platforms, and other internal or third-party systems.
• Maintain source control, solution packaging, environment-specific configuration, ALM/deployment processes, release discipline, and technical documentation so changes can be understood, tested, promoted, and supported reliably.
• Perform hands-on production support and root-cause analysis across Power Pages, Dataverse, Power Automate, identity/security, integrations, custom JavaScript, plugins, and supporting scripts.
• Plan and execute developer testing, regression testing, role/security testing, integration testing, data-validation testing, UAT support, defect correction, and post-deployment validation.
• Support historical and ongoing data migration activities, including source-to-target mapping, transformation, cleansing, backloads, reconciliation, and business validation.
• Maintain architecture documentation, data-model documentation, module/page documentation, implementation guides, migration documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks; use AI to accelerate documentation while keeping it accurate and current.
• Partner with Compliance, Privacy, Internal Audit, IT, and business stakeholders to understand investigation and operational pain points and identify opportunities to automate repetitive work, improve data quality, and reduce investigation cycle time.
• Develop and support AI-enabled capabilities such as case summarization, structured narrative generation, intelligent guidance, classification, and other approved uses of generative AI within compliance workflows.
• Provide user support, technical guidance, training, and knowledge transfer to help operational teams effectively adopt new capabilities.

Employment Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in application development, solution engineering, enterprise systems, or comparable technical roles.
• 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Power Platform experience, including Dataverse and Power Automate; meaningful Power Pages development experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of JavaScript and modern browser application development. The candidate must be able to read, troubleshoot, modify, test, and safely deploy substantial custom JavaScript applications, including code originally generated or accelerated by AI.
• Demonstrated experience taking ambiguous business requirements from concept through architecture, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Experience with Git/source control and disciplined software-development practices.
• Experience leading technical workstreams, mentoring others, or acting as the primary technical owner for an application or platform is preferred.

Required AI-Augmented Development Experience:

• Demonstrated, hands-on experience using at least one agentic coding environment - Claude Code or OpenAI Codex - to deliver real software changes in a repository. General chatbot use, prompt-only assistance, or generating isolated code snippets does not satisfy this requirement.
• Experience using Claude Code or Codex for multi-file implementation, debugging, refactoring, code review, test creation, documentation, and source-control workflows, with the ability to explain specific production work completed using the tool.
• Ability to direct AI agents effectively by decomposing complex work, supplying appropriate repository and business context, reviewing proposed changes, iterating when results are incomplete, and validating the final implementation.
• Strong engineering judgment when working with AI-generated code, including the ability to recognize hallucinated APIs, security weaknesses, broken assumptions, regressions, performance problems, and maintainability concerns.
• Commitment to using approved AI tools responsibly and in accordance with organizational security, privacy, data-handling, and software-development requirements.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Advanced Power Pages development, including custom JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Liquid, Dataverse Web API, OData, FetchXML, authentication patterns, web roles, and table permissions.
• Strong Power Automate skills, including expressions, nested control flow, child flows, error handling, retries, idempotent processing, scheduled automation, and integration patterns.
• Strong Dataverse design skills, including relational modeling, alternate keys, lookups, metadata/configuration-driven design, security, and performance considerations.
• Working knowledge of C# and Dataverse plugins/custom APIs, or the ability to maintain and extend existing .NET server-side components with AI assistance and appropriate code review.
• Working knowledge of PowerShell, TypeScript/Office Scripts, Excel/VBA, SQL, REST APIs, JSON, and data-transformation techniques.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Workday, Azure services, and enterprise identity/integration patterns.
• Experience with Power Platform ALM, solution packaging, environment variables, PAC CLI, deployment profiles, CI/CD concepts, and environment promotion.
• Experience with data migration, reconciliation, historical data conversion, and validation of high-volume or sensitive business data.
• Strong testing and troubleshooting skills across UI, workflow, integration, permissions, data, and production-support scenarios.
• Ability to create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, architecture decisions, runbooks, and implementation guidance in Markdown or comparable formats.
• Experience with Copilot Studio, AI Builder, Azure/OpenAI services, or other enterprise AI capabilities is beneficial but secondary to hands-on agentic software development experience.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, SOX, privacy, compliance, audit, investigations, access controls, and regulated-data handling is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders, challenge assumptions constructively, explain technical decisions, and independently drive work to completion.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.
• This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.

This role pays between $101,600- $152,400 based on experience and location
