Job SummaryThe Senior End User Computing (EUC) Engineer is responsible for defining and delivering the strategy, architecture, and transformation of the organization's end-user computing environment. This role focuses on modern workplace technologies, endpoint management, digital employee experience, virtualization, mobility, identity integration, and automation to provide a secure, scalable, and high-performing user environment across a global enterprise.
This position is part of the IT Global Infrastructure & Operations team and is based in Sunnyvale.
Key Responsibilities- Define and own the enterprise EUC architecture roadmap across endpoint management, virtual desktops, mobility, collaboration, and digital experience.
- Lead modernization initiatives across Windows, macOS, mobile platforms, and VDI/DaaS environments.
- Establish secure, scalable, and user-centric workplace computing architecture standards aligned with enterprise IT strategy.
- Collaborate with Identity, Security, Network, and Cloud teams to provide a cohesive end-to-end user experience.
- Lead modern workplace transformation initiatives, including:
- Device lifecycle modernization using Autopilot and zero-touch provisioning.
- Migration from SCCM to Intune and other modern management solutions.
- VDI/DaaS optimization using Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, and VMware Horizon.
- Enable secure, seamless, and high-performing hybrid work capabilities.
- Improve digital employee experience (DEX) through analytics, telemetry, and automation.
- Architect and govern endpoint management platforms, including Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager, SCCM/Configuration Manager, and Jamf.
- Define standards for OS builds, patch management, application packaging and deployment, device compliance, and configuration baselines.
- Develop and enable automation using PowerShell, Graph API, and orchestration frameworks.
- Partner with Security and Identity teams to implement Zero Trust principles, Conditional Access, device posture enforcement, and endpoint security solutions.
- Ensure EUC platforms comply with enterprise security, regulatory, and data protection requirements.
- Integrate EUC environments with IAM platforms, including Azure AD/Entra ID, MFA, and SSO.
- Architect application delivery models across native installations, virtualized applications, and cloud-based SaaS solutions.
- Optimize application performance and user experience across physical and virtual environments.
- Enable self-service capabilities through modern application catalogs and automation.
- Define EUC operating models, governance frameworks, and service standards.
- Establish and monitor KPIs related to device health, user experience, patch compliance, and service performance.
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and cost optimization across EUC services.
- Partner with Infrastructure, Security, Service Desk, and business teams to align EUC strategy with organizational objectives.
- Translate technical architecture decisions into measurable business value and outcomes.
- Mentor engineers and lead architecture/design reviews, technical standards, and best practices.
- Communicate technical risks, dependencies, and roadmap progress to leadership.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in End User Computing, Workplace Engineering, Infrastructure Architecture, or a related area.
- Strong expertise with endpoint management technologies, including Intune, SCCM, and Jamf.
- Strong experience with VDI/DaaS platforms such as Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, and VMware Horizon.
- Strong knowledge of identity integration using Azure AD/Entra ID.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-scale EUC transformation programs.
- Deep understanding of modern device management and co-management models.
- Strong knowledge of OS lifecycle management, patching, device compliance, and configuration management.
- Understanding of digital workplace technologies and user experience optimization.
- Strong architectural, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect technology decisions to business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Digital Employee Experience (DEX) tools such as Nexthink, Lakeside, or Aternity.
- Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell and Python.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust and endpoint security frameworks.
- Experience working in global, regulated enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow for EUC service integration.
