Job Summary

The Senior End User Computing (EUC) Engineer is responsible for defining and delivering the strategy, architecture, and transformation of the organization's end-user computing environment. This role focuses on modern workplace technologies, endpoint management, digital employee experience, virtualization, mobility, identity integration, and automation to provide a secure, scalable, and high-performing user environment across a global enterprise.

This position is part of the IT Global Infrastructure & Operations team and is based in Sunnyvale.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Define and own the enterprise EUC architecture roadmap across endpoint management, virtual desktops, mobility, collaboration, and digital experience.
  2. Lead modernization initiatives across Windows, macOS, mobile platforms, and VDI/DaaS environments.
  3. Establish secure, scalable, and user-centric workplace computing architecture standards aligned with enterprise IT strategy.
  4. Collaborate with Identity, Security, Network, and Cloud teams to provide a cohesive end-to-end user experience.
  5. Lead modern workplace transformation initiatives, including:
  6. Device lifecycle modernization using Autopilot and zero-touch provisioning.
  7. Migration from SCCM to Intune and other modern management solutions.
  8. VDI/DaaS optimization using Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, and VMware Horizon.
  9. Enable secure, seamless, and high-performing hybrid work capabilities.
  10. Improve digital employee experience (DEX) through analytics, telemetry, and automation.
  11. Architect and govern endpoint management platforms, including Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager, SCCM/Configuration Manager, and Jamf.
  12. Define standards for OS builds, patch management, application packaging and deployment, device compliance, and configuration baselines.
  13. Develop and enable automation using PowerShell, Graph API, and orchestration frameworks.
  14. Partner with Security and Identity teams to implement Zero Trust principles, Conditional Access, device posture enforcement, and endpoint security solutions.
  15. Ensure EUC platforms comply with enterprise security, regulatory, and data protection requirements.
  16. Integrate EUC environments with IAM platforms, including Azure AD/Entra ID, MFA, and SSO.
  17. Architect application delivery models across native installations, virtualized applications, and cloud-based SaaS solutions.
  18. Optimize application performance and user experience across physical and virtual environments.
  19. Enable self-service capabilities through modern application catalogs and automation.
  20. Define EUC operating models, governance frameworks, and service standards.
  21. Establish and monitor KPIs related to device health, user experience, patch compliance, and service performance.
  22. Drive continuous improvement, automation, and cost optimization across EUC services.
  23. Partner with Infrastructure, Security, Service Desk, and business teams to align EUC strategy with organizational objectives.
  24. Translate technical architecture decisions into measurable business value and outcomes.
  25. Mentor engineers and lead architecture/design reviews, technical standards, and best practices.
  26. Communicate technical risks, dependencies, and roadmap progress to leadership.


Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. 10+ years of experience in End User Computing, Workplace Engineering, Infrastructure Architecture, or a related area.
  3. Strong expertise with endpoint management technologies, including Intune, SCCM, and Jamf.
  4. Strong experience with VDI/DaaS platforms such as Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, and VMware Horizon.
  5. Strong knowledge of identity integration using Azure AD/Entra ID.
  6. Proven experience leading enterprise-scale EUC transformation programs.
  7. Deep understanding of modern device management and co-management models.
  8. Strong knowledge of OS lifecycle management, patching, device compliance, and configuration management.
  9. Understanding of digital workplace technologies and user experience optimization.
  10. Strong architectural, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  11. Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect technology decisions to business outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience with Digital Employee Experience (DEX) tools such as Nexthink, Lakeside, or Aternity.
  2. Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell and Python.
  3. Knowledge of Zero Trust and endpoint security frameworks.
  4. Experience working in global, regulated enterprise environments.
  5. Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow for EUC service integration.
