Torch Technologies is seeking a
Senior Electrical Engineer to provide advisory and assistance services to our program office.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:- Support the Avionics team in ensuring successful qualification of line replaceable units and flight sensor assemblies.
- Review contractor designs, perform independent analysis, and provide recommendations to the government concerning the designs.
- Responsible for reviewing contractor proposed test plans and ensuring they are adequately specific to test all the relevant requirements.
- Observe testing as needed and will be required to review test results and ensure adequate analysis is contained in test reports.
- Apply technical knowledge in support of failure analysis and be an active participant in any root cause/corrective action investigations with the electronic assemblies.
- Review designs of circuits and drawings of electronic assemblies.
- Support failure analysis and troubleshooting.
- Review test plans to verify that all requirements will be met by the methodologies used.
- Review test reports to ensure results vs plans are clearly documented.
Required Qualifications:- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent engineering discipline or equivalent is required.
- At least 12 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
- Possess a thorough understanding of engineering design process including requirements generation, design reviews, test planning and execution, and qualification testing.
- Prior experience with microelectronics components, circuit card/electronic assembly design, test, and qualification processes.
- Familiar with Military Standards and associated test methods related to electronics and system.
- Also familiar with DoW Acquisition processes or project management professional principles.
- Must have an active Secret DoW security clearance, must be eligible for a Top Secret DoW clearance; must maintain clearance requirement throughout employment tenure.
Preferred Skills:- Master's degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, systems engineering or equivalent engineering discipline with 10 years' relevant experience preferred.
- Current Top Secret clearance at hire is desired.
- Knowledge of HEMP, TEMPEST, and EMI/EMC testing is valued, but not required.
