Job Purpose: Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading design efforts of complex electronics projects across the entire lifecycle(EVT, DVT, PVT, Production/Sustaining). The selected candidate will provide technical guidance to teams/individual engineers, set project direction and influence/drive the organization to a successful launch of products in the server/storage domain.
Nature of Duties and Responsibilities: • Expertise
o Assist in the development of architectures, product design requirements and
other required documentation based on marketing requirements
o Simulate/predict signal integrity and circuit functionality using state of the art
simulation tools.
o Enable state-of-the-art electrical designs/approaches while meeting schedule
expectations
o Fluent in the use of Cadence toolsets

o Provide expert guidance to teams and individual engineers
o Articulate the goals and intent for work products
o Proactively influence the organization toward successful product launches

o Provide expert input into tasks and schedule baselines

o Proactively assist customers to successfully resolve issues seen in their

o Partner with Operations to optimize costs/yields on released and pre-release
products.

o Participate in new product concepts and strategies and implementation methods.
o Interface directly with customer development teams and contribute to product
architecture.
Education and Experience: - BSEE or equivalent engineering degree
- 8+ years experience in system level product development
- Server and/or Storage systems experience highly desired
- Experience with High Speed signal design and simulation (SAS4, SATA, NVMe, PCIeGx, DDR, etc).
- Hands on experience utilizing standard lab equipment, oscilloscopes, meters, TDR, power equipment, etc.
- Strong experience in bring up/debug boards and system level designs (EVT, DVT, PVT)
- Experience with programmable logic (FPGA, CPLD, etc.)
- Familiar with simulation programs such as PSPICE, ModelSim, Ansys, etc.
- Ability to collect, analyze and report on datasets collected as part of test plans, customer requests and problem-solving activities
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office products for documentation and presenting material
- Knowledge of cost basis for electronic components
- Experience working with inhouse and external high volume manufacturing partners located in and outside the US
- Must enjoy working in a fast-paced active environment as a team player
Salary Range(annual): $135,000 - $160,000
Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
