APS Strategic Business Unit (SBU) division of Raytheon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the Muti-Spectral Targeting System (MTS) development, production, and Customer Logistics Support (CLS) and retrofit programs. This position is focused on the development and integration of new designs and the incorporation of new technologies into existing designs.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate integration and test efforts, cross discipline engineering sustaining functions including Electrical, Mechanical, and Optical supporting multiple MTS production, new capability insertion efforts, and depot activities.
- Be self-motivated and have the ability to interface with Engineering, Production Managers, Supply Chain Managers, Suppliers/Sub-Contractors, Program Management, Customers, Operations assembly, and test personnel.
- Perform at a high operational tempo and demonstrate an ability to react quickly to changes in both the plan and/or priorities.
- Provide technical oversight and solutions to Suppliers, Test and Cycle time improvements, and cross training team membership.
- Electrical Engineering responsibilities include HW integration lead associated with the Design of Circuit Cards, Firmware, Test and integration of Electro-optical and Hyperspectral systems, which include IR sensors, Hyperspectral sensors, SWIR cameras, Day TV cameras, Multi Axis Gimbals and LASER subsystems.
- Duties may include Trade Studies for COTs products, leading the test and integration and other production support of (digital and analog) circuitry and modules; troubleshooting and resolving MTS issues on deliverable products; verifying and validating component performance to specifications; and defining and implementing design or process changes.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities on multiple tasks.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel to support SIL/Aircraft integration and test events.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with test equipment, such as signal sources, spectrum analyzers, noise figure meters, logic analyzers.
- Experience with testing and integration of systems with mission computers, recorders, encoders, etc.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Muti-Spectral Targeting System (MTS) SME in how the system operates to support the RTX integration team at location and onsite.
- Familiar with the MTS configurations, capabilities, interfaces, and operation.
- Knowledge of Non-Uniformity Correction.
- Knowledge of Video Trackers.
- Knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools.
- Knowledge of Simulation and Analysis tools.
- VHDL and Xilinx FPGA design tools.
- Familiar with Data Collection and Analysis tools – MATLAB, MathCAD.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
