About you and this role

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior EH&S Delivery Specialist for Industrial Hygiene located in Seadrift, TX supporting the Seadrift and Victoria sites! In this role, you will lead the site EH&S compliance and implementation of the safety management system for industrial hygiene. You will also maintain the applicable license to operate for the hub. This requires expanded conceptual and practical knowledge in your job discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of global EH&S management systems, specifically those related to Industrial Hygiene.
  • Lead EH&S performance improvement of assigned programs.
  • Coordinate, implement, and optimize EH&S programs and IH compliance programs across site/hub.
  • Achieve external certification and complete the responsibilities of the site Radiation Safety Officer.
  • Participate in incident investigations and the corrective action process for EH&S issues and opportunities.
  • Perform central review of all IH related documents and submittals to ensure consistency and compliance goals are met.
  • Perform IH monitoring as needed in the field.
  • Perform Requirements Management Work Process (RWMP) roles as needed.
  • Initiate and support management of change (MOC) for EH&S programs and compliance matters, as necessary.
  • Act as Agency Visit protocol owner and implementer.
  • Manage permits including submittal of permit applications for new and modified equipment, requests for permit changes, and submittal of permit renewal applications related to IH programs.
  • Coach, train, and mentor EH&S technicians as needed.
  • Perform site or plant gap assessments around EH&S work process implementation.
  • Develop, review, monitor, create and deliver training as appropriate.
  • Document IH data and monitoring using Cority software.


Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 ranking OR Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class ranking.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standard.
  • Safety Assurance: Ensure that all operations, processes, and activities are conducted in compliance with established safety standards and regulations.
  • Risk management: Develop and implement risk control strategies, monitors emerging threats, and ensures alignment with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducting Investigations: Lead or support thorough and objective investigations into permit violations to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational.
  • Solution Design: Helps to structure the initial thoughts and to transfer them onto the further implementation measures.
  • Stakeholder Management: Process of identifying, prioritizing, and engaging stakeholders throughout the product development process.
