The Senior Analyst is responsible for determining wholesale vehicle availability, sales objectives, and demand forecasts. This role analyzes large and complex data sets to identify trends and develop data‑driven solutions that improve forecast accuracy, protect dealer orders, and support Nissan North America (NNA) and the dealer network. The Senior Analyst collaborates cross‑functionally to incorporate inputs related to future product offerings, incentives, and market trends, provides training to new analysts, and presents clear, actionable recommendations to senior management. The role also develops training and presentation materials for internal and external audiences.
Serve as a subject matter expert for distribution activities and systems supporting forecasting and allocation processes.
Lead a model‑line‑specific team through the full lifecycle of production mix planning, from long‑range forecasting (N+2 timing) through production and final build specifications for unsold orders.
Analyze dealer sales and inventory data to establish National‑to‑Dealer allocations, including dealer tier formulas, lease penetration adjustments, model seasonality adjustments, and drivetrain/emissions balancing.
Evaluate the impact of allocation mandates, dealer turndown cycles, and aging inventory on both NNA and the dealer network.
Identify ordering and sales trends to optimize dealer ordering behavior and allocation effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with established distribution and allocation policies.
Collaborate with Production Ordering, CMM, and Regional teams to align ordering inputs with production requirements, trim and option targets, incentive strategies, market trends, and accessory plans.
Develop new tools, reports, and process improvements to enhance forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency.
Develop and deliver regional and dealer training on automated vehicle ordering systems to ensure correct vehicle mix ordering.
Train and mentor new analysts on forecasting, distribution, and allocation processes.
Prepare and present clear, concise analyses and recommendations to senior leadership.
Develop presentation materials for internal and external training and communication purposes.
Perform other related duties as required.
Who We're Looking for:
Ability to independently prioritize, organize, and manage workload with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct complex data analysis and interpretation.
Solid understanding of statistical analysis and forecasting methodologies.
Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and develop practical solutions.
General knowledge of the automotive industry with in‑depth knowledge of Nissan and Infiniti products.
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical and analytical concepts.
Ability to manage complex situations and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
Flexibility to work irregular or extended hours, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.
Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, PC, and mainframe applications.
Working knowledge of distribution‑related systems, including vehicle allocation systems.
Six (6) to seven (7) years of progressive professional experience in a related field required.
Experience across multiple specialties within the automotive industry strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university required.
Up to 25% domestic travel, including day and overnight travel.
