Overview

The Senior Director of Strategic Finance & Analytics is a key finance leadership role responsible for driving enterprise-wide financial insight, strategic decision support, and advanced analytics. This role partners closely with the CFO, executive leadership, and business unit leaders to translate data into actionable strategy, optimize resource allocation, and enhance long-term value creation.

The role will have direct oversight of the Corporate Financial, Planning and Analytic team as well as build out a Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate brings deep financial acumen, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence decisions at the executive level in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Strategic Finance & Decision Support
  • Lead enterprise financial analysis to support corporate strategy, long-range planning, capital allocation and major investment decisions
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models for scenario analysis, business cases, and return-on-investment evaluation
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership by providing clear, data-driven insights and recommendations
  • Partner with business leaders to evaluate strategic initiatives, pricing strategies, cost optimization, and growth opportunities
  • Partner with CFO on models and financial requests from PE owner

Analytics & Insights
  • Oversee development of advanced analytics, dashboards, and performance metrics to improve visibility into financial and operational performance
  • Translate complex data into concise executive-level reporting and storytelling
  • Drive standardization and automation of financial analytics to improve accuracy, speed, and scalability
  • Leverage data from multiple sources (financial, operational, and external) to deliver predictive and forward-looking insights

Financial Planning & Performance Management
  • Oversee FP&A to enhance forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes
  • Develop cadence and structure to FP&A that produces timely, relevant and insightful reporting
  • Monitor macroeconomic, industry, and competitive trends to inform planning assumptions and leadership decisions

Leadership & Collaboration
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of finance and analytics professionals
  • Foster strong cross-functional partnerships with Accounting, Operations, IT, and Data teams
  • Influence without authority, driving alignment across competing priorities and stakeholders
  • Champion a culture of analytical rigor, continuous improvement, and strategic thinking within Finance

Reporting Relationship
  • Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
  • Manages: Corporate FP&A team and Business Intelligence team


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance, FP&A, corporate finance, or consulting
  • Proven experience supporting executive leadership and influencing strategic decisions
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial outcomes to operational drivers
  • Demonstrated leadership experience building and managing high-performing teams

Preferred
  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Experience in complex, matrixed, or growth-oriented organizations
  • Exposure to M&A, capital markets, or enterprise-level transformation initiatives
  • Advanced proficiency in analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and strong Excel/financial systems expertise
