Full Job Description
OVERVIEW

Mythos and other AI frontier models are changing the game in cybersecurity and IT. Priorities are shifting from discovering vulnerabilities to remediating them. The scale of the problem and Automox's opportunity are orders of magnitude greater than they were. If you want to lead the Product team pursuing that massive opportunity, keep reading.

You could lead the team that partners with engineering to design and deliver powerful, user-centric autonomous endpoint management solutions. From vendor-agnostic ingestion of vulnerabilities to a central policy pane of glass via GUI and MCP, deploying fixes across agent and agentless Windows, macOS, Linux, and beyond, our full-flex endpoint management vision empowers IT and security teams to stay ahead of threats and harden their devices with ease and confidence.

We thrive on a "One Team" mentality, where AI, autonomy, deep collaboration, and a strong sense of ownership fuel innovation and outcomes that matter. At Automox, you'll do the most meaningful work of your career, grow alongside passionate peers, and make a tangible impact-every day. Our Product team is strong and ready for a smart, passionate, articulate leader to continue to accelerate their momentum. If you believe that the potential of AI is across rather than within tools, and that fixing problems on tens of millions of devices is a noble mission, apply.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

We are looking for a Senior Director of Product who can continue to accelerate the AI-powered momentum and evolution of a strong team of product managers and designers. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally to consistently deliver roadmap quality, velocity, and integrity. You will elevate the Product team with outcome-focused leadership, transparent objectives, accountability, and structure. You will be the connective tissue between vision and execution, working seamlessly with the leader of Engineering, go-to-market teams, and senior leadership to focus resources on our highest-leverage investments.

Product Operations & Process Excellence
  • Continuously improve product management practices with clarity, prioritization, and cross-functional alignment while preserving what already works and enabling engineering to take full advantage of AI velocity.
  • Own and refine the product development lifecycle to clearly delineate ownership of the "what" in Product and the "how" of innovation in Engineering to enable high-velocity delivery without chaos.
  • Develop tools, processes, and metrics for prioritization, capacity planning, and release readiness.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Build a high-performing product management organization by coaching, developing, and holding team members accountable to deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Foster a unified culture of accountability, customer empathy, and commercial thinking.
  • Lead product team performance management, including hiring, feedback, and professional growth.
  • Influence executive stakeholders to establish clear product operating principles, decision rights, and investment priorities that enable teams to execute with confidence.

Strategic Alignment & Business Impact
  • Modernize customer discovery and product validation practices to ensure that investments solve meaningful customer problems that drive adoption, retention, and business outcomes.
  • Build high-trust partnerships with Engineering and other cross-functional senior leadership to create pride of ownership of product outcomes while balancing customer value, technical realities, and delivery speed.
  • Help shape monetization by collaborating on pricing, packaging, and onboarding strategies to maximize customer acquisition, expansion, and retention.
  • Adapt product operating practices to an AI-accelerated development environment, balancing rapid experimentation with thoughtful product judgment and sustainable execution.

Go-To-Market Integration
  • Ensure new product features are launched with strong GTM alignment by enabling marketing, sales, and support with context and value.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to drive cross-functional planning for product launches and ensure readiness across internal teams.

BACKGROUND & SKILLS REQUIRED
  • 12+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role in a SaaS environment at the $20M-$100M ARR stage.
  • Demonstrated judgment in introducing operational improvements-knowing when to standardize, when to simplify, and when to leave existing practices intact.
  • Proven success leading product teams through operational and organizational scaling.
  • Demonstrated experience with product lifecycle management, prioritization frameworks, and outcome-based roadmapping.
  • Demonstrated understanding of GTM strategies, pricing, packaging, and usage-based monetization, customer onboarding, and lifecycle hooks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills-you can rally teams and influence at all levels.
  • High EQ and the ability to coach and empower a team while holding high standards.

WHAT SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE:
  • Building a high-trust one-team partnership with Engineering that enables fast, customer-focused delivery rather than creating competing priorities.
  • Bringing stability to the Product organization by evolving existing processes where appropriate
  • Helping define what Product should own in an AI-accelerated development environment while balancing speed, customer insight, and execution quality.
  • Establishing clear product outcome priorities grounded in customer outcomes and business impact.
  • Influencing executive stakeholders to align on product operating principles before introducing organizational or process changes.
  • Developing a product culture that values practical decision-making, experimentation, and continuous learning over rigid adherence to frameworks or methodologies.
