WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Senior Director, Omni Channel - Retail

The Senior Director, Omnichannel in the Retail Customer Segment is a part of the transformational retail sales team and responsible for managing one of the highest growth segments of our business. This role is a part of the retail leadership team helping to build and shape our retail strategy, the direct manager of a team that will support their segment's Customers, as well as an individual contributor developing strategy, building client relationships, and planning initiatives.

The Senior Director is a hands-on leader who moves easily from strategic to tactical with a focus on setting and achieving strategic sales and account goals within their Customer Segment. They are responsible for driving significant growth and strategic development within the Omni Channel segment, as well as assessing the long-term Retail Customer pipeline and Total Addressable Market. This role involves customer team leadership and business development, planning, coordination, implementation, maintenance, and communication among all stakeholders to achieve Vetsource and Customer objectives. This individual will be responsible for accelerating existing accounts through the development and execution of aligned strategies, performance of the account management team, success of cross-functional initiatives, and delivering exceptional value and service.

This is a full-time, remote position.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead/support a small team of 2 direct reports.
  • Manage and take accountability for the Omnichannel Channel P&L, including annual planning, budget optimization, demand planning, and D2C strategy development in order to achieve key performance - revenue and margin targets, mutually beneficial partnerships, and operational KPIs.
  • Analyze, identify, and interpret customer and industry trends or patterns in data to inform strategic planning, including an understanding of Vetsource's retail and veterinary services, solutions, and product details.
  • Build strong partnerships with veterinary and industry sales account teams and stakeholders to identify opportunities to inform strategy.
  • Drive Omnichannel customer strategies, including customer, manufacturer and promotional annual planning, growth and optimization.
  • Oversee the completion of annual customer plans that meet company standards and are updated quarterly for management review.
  • Lead and/or influence cross-functional teams to define and deliver strategic retail initiatives aimed at achieving Vetsource and Customer obligations for both existing and new customers. Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and drive incremental business by coordinating internal and external stakeholder involvement.
  • Manage ongoing escalated communications and expectations with customers.
  • Develop initiative/project/program plans, including goals, strategy/approach, schedule, risks, contingency plans, and resource allocation.
  • Act as the key interface for the assessment of inquiring prospects/customers and inform internal stakeholders of potential opportunities, including facilitating the handover from Business Development to Account Manager nomination for successful transitioning of the customer.
  • Manage meetings, discussions, presentations, and other avenues of engagement; create and maintain historical discussions and meeting notes.
  • Drive commercial requirements and milestones, including managing NDAs, financial modeling and pricing (in collaboration with Finance), and negotiating contracts.


WHAT YOU BRING
  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training.
  • 10+ years of experience managing large partnerships, growing top-line revenue and expertly managing bottom-line profitability, including progressive people leadership experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic account management and negotiation.
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic business plan building and owning of the end-to-end customer experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in the pet industry, including an understanding of the veterinary and retail service models and prescription management.

  • 20% - 30% travel required.

Pay range (US based applicants): $190,265 - $210,000 (annualized) + $40,000 variable compensation target

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, certifications, relevant education and training, while also considering internal equity.
