The Opportunity

Cacique Foods is seeking a transformational Sr. Director of Supply Chain to lead and modernize our end-to-end procurement function across a dynamic, growing food manufacturing environment. This role will be instrumental in driving cost excellence, ensuring supply continuity, enabling innovation, and building a resilient, future-ready supply chain. You will serve as a key enterprise leader, partnering with executive stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Product Development to shape the next phase of our growth-from new product launches to long-term capacity and sourcing strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments (e.g., finance, legal, operations, product development) to align sourcing needs
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to ensure uninterrupted supply, and competitive cost
  • Develop long-term strategies for capacity planning and supply chain resilience
  • Manage budgets and forecast procurement and production costs
  • Ensure continuity of supply to meet production and operational targets
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
  • Build a partnership-based approach in working with Marketing for new product innovation and launches
  • Leverage procurement analytics to form strategy and drive cost savings
  • Responsible for delivering annual productivity savings targets
  • Implement procurement best practices, standards, and controls
  • Lead SRM (Supplier Relationship Management), and regular performance reviews including a cadence of QBR's (Quarterly Business Reviews)
  • Perform regular risk assessments to proactively manager supply risks
  • Leverage supplier expertise for raw material, and packing material innovation
  • Monitor market trends and supplier developments to anticipate shifts and mitigate risks
  • Lead and mentor procurement teams, fostering professional growth and development
  • Define and track Key Performance Indicators to monitor supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lay out a 3-year master plan, including "big bets"
  • Performs other related duties assigned by management.


QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, or business administration. MBA a plus.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in Procurement, and supply chain management, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP
  • Demonstrated successes in building a continuous improvement culture
  • Professional certifications (e.g., American Production and Inventory Control Society, Certified Supply Chain Professional, Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) are highly desirable.
