The Senior Director, Distribution Centre Operations is accountable for the overall performance, strategy, and leadership of a large-scale distribution centre. This role leads end-to-end operations to deliver on financial, service, safety, quality, and compliance objectives, while driving continuous improvement and enterprise alignment.
As a key enterprise leader, you will set strategic direction, lead large and complex teams (including unionized environments), and partner cross-functionally to optimize supply chain performance and customer outcomes.

- Define and execute long-term operational strategies aligned to business priorities and LRP
- Translate enterprise strategy into actionable plans, KPIs, and performance outcomes
- Partner with national and regional stakeholders to optimize end-to-end supply chain performance
- Operational Excellence & Performance
- Lead all distribution centre operations, ensuring delivery of financial, service, safety, and quality targets
- Own and manage operating and capital budgets, including cost optimization and capital planning
- Leverage data and analytics to drive fact-based decision-making and profitability
- Continuous Improvement & Transformation
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma principles
- Drive standardization, process optimization, and scalable solutions across the operation
- Lead large-scale initiatives across safety, quality, cost, sustainability, and service
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with Health Canada regulations, cGMP standards, and internal policies
- Lead programs that ensure operational integrity, audit readiness, and risk mitigation
- People & Culture Leadership
- Build and lead high-performing, inclusive teams focused on engagement, development, and accountability
- Provide leadership across a large, complex workforce, including unionized employees
- Partner with labour relations to maintain strong, collaborative union relationships
- Stakeholder & Market Leadership
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify risks and opportunities
- Influence enterprise decisions through strategic insight and operational expertise
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in distribution, logistics, or operations
- 7+ years leading large, complex, multi-layered teams
Preferred Qualifications- Experience leading unionized operations and working within collective agreements
- Strong knowledge of distribution, warehousing, and supply chain operations
- Understanding of cGMP and regulatory requirements (Health Canada)
- Proven experience managing large-scale budgets (opex and capital)
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise-level transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
