Full Job Description
OVERVIEW:

To advance the mission of Operation Mobilization, this position will provide strategic leadership and tactical management to the Church Connections team. This team, including the senior director, will develop, maintain and grow a portfolio of churches in the United States to establish mutually beneficial partnerships that mobilize church congregants in financial generosity, global service opportunities and focused prayer for the least reached through OM.

HIGH LEVEL OBJECTIVES:
  1. Lead and steward the organization's strategies and tactics for church relationships.
  1. Directly manage the personnel and operations of the Church Connections team.
  1. Contribute to guiding OM's Advancement efforts through service on the Advancement Leadership Team.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Develop, recommend, implement, and monitor strategies and programs to engage OM with churches in the U.S. in the areas of prayer, giving and going.
  1. Collaborate across OM teams to provide resources, help shape organizational church engagement strategy, and serve constituents well.
  1. Work with the team to guide the planning and implementation of individual tactics (moves) and goals to deepen relationships with church leaders.
  1. Represent OM by ministering in churches through preaching, teaching, training and coaching as it supports OM's mission.
  1. Oversee the documentation and execution of a moves management strategy for all relationships in the Church Connections team portfolios.
  1. Provide a church engagement perspective in OM gatherings including the Advancement Leadership Team and, at times, the Leadership Team, board, all staff meetings, or at other times.
  1. Meet or exceed annual revenue and mobilization goals, for both an individual portfolio and the total team portfolio.
  1. Develop and grow an individual portfolio of 10-15 mutually-beneficial relationships with current church partners to increase involvement in praying for, giving to, and going to the least reached.
  1. Annually invite, negotiate and secure five- to seven-figure gifts and multi-year commitments, and meet annual revenue goals.
  1. Annually invite, negotiate and secure significant church partnerships that lead to the mobilization and/or care of sent workers, and help meet annual mobilization goals.
  1. Demonstrate a keen sense of curiosity for church partners and church leaders- seeking to serve each church in ways that meet the church's goals in addition to OM's goals.
  1. Plan and lead vision trips for select church leaders to OM fields, and strategic OM events such as the International Leaders Meeting, as part of the moves management strategy.
  1. Routinely engage the CEO, subject matter experts, and other OM leaders in visits with church leaders to inspire, cultivate, minister, and develop significant partnership opportunities.

CREDENTIALS/REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  1. A committed Christian and in agreement with OM USA Statement of Faith and mission.
  1. Passionate about OM's mission to see vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least reached.
  1. At least three to five years of significant prior transferable professional experience in a large church and/or non-profit organization required.
  1. BA/BS (or equivalent experience) required; MA, DMin or MBA/CFRE preferred.
  1. Capable of effective collaboration in a highly complex organization.
  1. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  1. A high level of energy, self-confidence, and a positive "can-do" attitude.
  1. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize assigned tasks.
  1. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  1. Demonstrated competence in today's electronic environment and ability to learn OM's CRM.

TEAM PARTICIPATION:

Each team member is expected to participate in the team life activities of OM, including:
  1. Team events that focus on prayer, fellowship, training and development
  1. Task forces or working groups that facilitate cross-department collaboration
  1. Modeling the culture of OM USA
