About This Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Director, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) to help grow and deliver RGP's M&A advisory services. This leader will play a critical role in developing client relationships, driving revenue, and delivering high-impact solutions.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in M&A due diligence, integration, and separation, combined with a proven ability to shape, sell, and deliver advisory services in a consulting environment. As a senior leader within the practice, they will contribute to shaping offerings, driving go-to-market efforts, and ensuring exceptional client outcomes.

This is a high-impact opportunity for someone energized by transformation and client success-someone who combines strong commercial instincts with hands-on delivery leadership and the ability to guide teams and clients through complex engagements.

This is a fully remotely based role with a travel component. Base compensation range for this role is expected to be between $187,000 - $234,000 plus incentive.

What You Will Work On

  • Develop, sell, and deliver M&A advisory solutions, including due diligence, integration, and carve-out/separation initiatives
  • Drive revenue growth through new client acquisition, account expansion, and cross-solution collaboration
  • Lead key engagements and programs, ensuring high-quality delivery, client satisfaction, and profitability
  • Oversee and contribute to:
    • Operational due diligence
    • Integration/separation readiness (pre-deal)
    • Integration/separation management
    • Target operating model design and process integration
    • Value creation analysis and execution - synergies, stranded costs
    • Transition service agreement structuring and exit management
    • Employee experience planning and execution (change management, communications, culture)
  • Build trusted client relationships and partner with senior stakeholders to provide strategic guidance throughout engagements
  • Partner with engagement leaders and sales teams to support proposals, RFPs, and go-to-market activities
  • Contribute to the development of offerings (capabilities, tools/accelerators, methodologies, etc.) that differentiate RGP in the market
  • Provide thought leadership internally and externally, sharing insights on emerging trends and leading practices
  • Mentor and coach team members, contributing to the development of a high-performing talent community
  • Collaborate across practices to deliver integrated, cross-functional solutions to clients


What You Will Bring

  • 15+ years of experience in consulting, transaction advisory, or corporate development, with a strong focus on M&A
  • Demonstrated success selling and delivering advisory services and exceeding revenue targets
  • Deep expertise across the M&A lifecycle, including due diligence, integration, and separation
  • Proven experience leading large, complex programs and global engagements
  • Strong client relationship skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior executives and stakeholders
  • Experience developing go-to-market strategies, proposals, and solution offerings
  • Advanced capabilities in project management, problem-solving, and delivery leadership
  • Ability to create and communicate executive-level insights and recommendations
  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree or relevant certifications a plus
