Job Description

As a Health and Benefits Director, you will lead large, highly visible client engagements involving the design and management of the full array of health and benefits programs. You will drive the strategy and grow relationships with current clients, as well as participate in prospecting opportunities with new clients. You will serve as a key voice to the marketplace of one of the world's leading HR consulting firms and have the ability to contribute to the evolution of health care delivery

The Role
  • Serve as the strategic partner and trusted advisor to large, complex clients in the design and management of their health and benefits programs, including:
    • Benefit plan analysis, design, cost savings and funding strategies
    • Vendor procurement, negotiation, and optimization
    • Incorporation of specialized health management, absence and disability management, pharmacy, data analytics and compliance strategies
  • Materially grow Health and Benefits revenue through:
    • Anticipating client needs and cross selling new solutions to current clients
    • Serving as the Health and Benefits expert in new client pursuits by crafting solutions to meet prospects needs and helping to close them as clients
  • Oversee Consultants/Project Managers in the design and delivery of project plans; finalize and present deliverables to clients
  • Contribute to marketing of Willis Towers Watson by speaking at conferences, writing articles and otherwise promoting the company
  • Spearhead the development of new Health and Benefits tools and approaches; collaborate with executive leadership at vendors and clients in creation of the next generation of solutions
  • Demonstrate extensive leadership ability by directly managing and/or mentoring other consultants


Qualifications

The Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience and success in the design/management of large group health and welfare plans gained in a consulting or brokerage environment
  • Proven ability to generate revenue
  • Track record of success in managing and growing large client relationships
  • Proven experience in successfully leading global team and projects
  • An executive presence with polished and well developed written and oral communication skills
  • Superior ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of an organization
  • Interest and aptitude in keeping abreast of latest developments in health and welfare plan strategy and contributing to the development of new tools and approaches
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Availability to travel regularly
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Provincial Life and Health license required within 180 days of joining

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $150,000 - $175,000 CAD per year.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
