Full Job Description
The Senior Director of FP&A leads regional financial planning, reporting, and performance management for the NORAM Region, providing executive-level financial insight and decision support to divisional leadership, the NORAM CFO, and Board.

- Leads regional financial reporting and KPI analysis

- Manage the region's Integrated Business Planning process, including long-range planning, mid-term planning, annual budgeting, and ongoing forecasting.

- Lead the regions Reimagine Finance initiative from a controlling and reporting perspective, ensuring regional reporting requirements are met during the transition to global tools and processes.

- Oversee customer lifecycle reporting, including net growth, start-ups, and business development performance reporting.

- Drive regional finance digitalization efforts, including managing of the Finance Digitalization Manager and advancement of reporting automation, analytics, and process improvement.

Sr Director Finance

The purpose of this role is to be an active member of the business unit senior leadership team and lead the management of commercial and financial matters for the business unit. This is an executive-level position with direct responsibility to deliver business unit results (P&L responsibility), provide both financial and non-financial advice to senior operational and functional leadership and assist with strategy development and allocation of resources. This includes profit and loss analysis, balance sheet review, forecast and budget review and reporting, month end close support and reporting, and involvement in ad hoc analysis to control expenses and maximize both short and long term financial performance. This position is expected to manage effective relationships with members of the business unit management team, various functional departments, and our customers to drive financial performance and results across the business unit or portfolio of sites. This position must be highly motivated and self-directed, possess strong commercial acumen and negotiating skills, and be able to develop and maintain customer relationships.

Operational Support
• Active member of the senior management team in decision making on key tactical and strategic decisions (both financial and non-financial)
• Provide advice and direction to senior management team on financial, commercial and general business issues (e.g. talent assessment and identification/resolution of key issue and growth opportunities)
• Lead strategic development and execution, to include the allocation of resources
• Lead commercial finance team through key processes and initiatives including but not limited to;
  • Business unit month-end close issues
  • Management of monthly close process, ensuring accurate and timely completion
  • Final analysis of the financial performance of business group; analyses should include the understanding and documentation of financial and operational results against budget and forecast; analyses and commentary should be insightful and conducive to management action to improve performance

• Lead discussions with account teams and customers regarding financial and operational performance
• Lead the development of monthly forecasts and annual budgets for the business unit
• Manage cash flow and working capital position of the business unit

Commercial Support
• Provide financial support and analysis to Business Development and Operations teams in the development of commercial pricing proposals
• Lead the negotiation of commercial agreements for new business, renewals, and significant changes to existing terms and conditions
• Foster a relationship that ensures an active and contributing role with operational site management teams in decisions that minimize financial and commercial risks
• Confirm analysis and provide approval for capital expenditures for new business and replacement capital (including project appraisal); evaluate and recommend appropriate financing method (e.g. buy vs. lease)
• Liaise with Purchasing, Real Estate, Contract Administration and Operating teams to ensure that commercial and financial risks and exposures are highlighted and mitigated as appropriate
• Develop creative solutions that balance risk and reward in commercial relationships with customers

Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance or accounting, required
• MBA and/or CPA, preferred
• 10+ years of demonstrated success in financial management, required
• Demonstrated customer relationship and commercial negotiation skills, required
• Logistics industry experience (captive or 3rd party), preferred
