Job Title
Senior Director, Compliance

About your role:

As a Senior Director, Compliance, you will lead enterprise compliance strategy, program execution, and risk oversight across business, legal, and control functions. You will work closely with executive leadership, risk, legal, audit, and operational teams to strengthen regulatory compliance frameworks, monitor emerging requirements, and drive sustainable controls that protect clients, the business, and the integrity of our operations.

What you'll do:
  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of compliance programs, policies, standards, and controls aligned to applicable regulatory requirements and business objectives
  • Partner with legal, risk, audit, product, operations, and executive stakeholders to assess compliance risk, prioritize remediation activities, and support effective governance
  • Direct compliance monitoring, testing, issue management, and reporting activities to identify control gaps, track corrective actions, and improve program effectiveness
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for compliance team members while building capabilities that support scalable and consistent execution
  • Establish metrics, dashboards, and management reporting to communicate compliance trends, regulatory developments, material issues, and program performance to senior leadership
  • Support regulatory examinations, internal audits, and external reviews by coordinating responses, overseeing documentation, and driving timely remediation of findings
  • Promote a culture of accountability by guiding business partners on regulatory obligations, policy requirements, and practical compliance solutions

Experience you'll need to have:
  • 6+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, legal, audit, or related control functions within a regulated industry
  • Experience leading enterprise or business-line compliance programs, including policy development, risk assessment, monitoring, and issue remediation
  • 5+ years of experience managing and developing teams
  • Experience interpreting and applying regulatory requirements, control standards, and governance practices across complex business environments
  • Experience presenting compliance matters, risk themes, and remediation progress to senior leaders using clear, decision-ready reporting
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance, Law, Risk Management, or related field or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience


Experience that would be great to have:
  • Experience supporting regulatory examinations or consent order remediation activities
  • Experience in financial services, payments, banking, or fintech environments
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), or equivalent compliance certification
  • Master's degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or related field or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience


How you'll work:
  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.


Travel: This role requires occasional travel (up to 10%).

Salary Range
$150,000.00 - $240,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
