Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Desk Adjuster to join our team in Canada. The position location is flexible, and we can offer in-office, hybrid or fully remote working arrangements.

The successful candidate investigates, evaluates, negotiates, and settles casualty claims by telephone, correspondence and when required through mediation (virtual or in person) and correspondence. Settling losses within delegated authority or reporting to clients while also directing field adjusters, experts and legal council on a task.

Salary Range is from 71,000 to 107,000.

Responsibilities

  • Desktop Investigation, collection, and analysis of claims information
  • Accurate recording, reporting and presentation of files
  • Evaluates coverage, liability and quantum
  • Maintenance of accurate billing, and time and expense records


Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of technical experience handling Multi Line claims
  • Experience with medical malpractice claims
  • Post Secondary education in an insurance related field will be considered an asset
  • CIP designation or working towards CIP designation is required
  • Independent Adjuster Licensed with ability to maintain a full adjusting license in your home province. Multiple provincial licenses is preferred.
  • Strong computer and reporting skills including Office 365 and Windows 10
  • A team player with outstanding customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and mathematical ability
  • Able to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong PC skills including application based skills
  • Complete continuing education courses as required by Crawford and Company, province, or professional trade association
