The
Senior Design Specialist will be responsible for reading, interpreting and generating design drawings utilizing various drafting applications under minimal supervision. The Senior Design Specialist will be required to walk down field systems with minimal guidance, interpret field direction, generate minor design details, create new drawings, modify existing drawings and direct junior staffers to aid in the timely completion of projects. Other duties may be assigned on an as needed basis.
RequirementsMust have a minimum of an Associate's degree in a related field with an additional 10 years of progressive drafting related experience pertaining to Engineering and Construction (Nuclear Preferred).
Must have working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to specialized (nuclear or other areas) engineering design.
Must have background and experience in drafting/design within the field of engineering such as electrical, mechanical, structural, communications, architectural, fire protection and/or civil.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesDue to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
