Overview

LMI is seeking a Senior Data Strategist to shape how a U.S. Army organization manages, adopts, and uses its enterprise data platform.

This role operates at the intersection of mission, data, technology, and product adoption. The Senior Data Strategist will turn complex organizational needs into an executable data strategy, establish practical governance, and ensure the platform delivers measurable value to its users.

Responsibilities

  • Own the data strategy, operating model, and adoption roadmap for an enterprise mission platform.
  • Translate user workflows and organizational priorities into platform and data-product requirements.
  • Establish practical approaches to data ownership, stewardship, quality, access, and lifecycle management.
  • Define success measures and use them to guide platform priorities and adoption.
  • Work with engineering, product, security, and mission stakeholders to align delivery with user needs.
  • Lead discovery sessions, executive briefings, and organizational change activities.
  • Identify barriers to adoption and drive decisions that improve how data is managed and used.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, analytical, business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ten or more years of experience in data strategy, technical product delivery, enterprise data management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience moving a data platform or data capability from strategy into operational use.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, data products, and platform adoption.
  • Experience translating ambiguous mission needs into actionable priorities and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong executive communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience supporting a Department of Defense customer.
  • Active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting the U.S. Army.
  • Experience with cloud-based or enterprise data platforms.
  • Familiarity with Palantir Foundry, Army Vantage, or comparable platforms.
  • Experience in technical product management, platform strategy, or deployment strategy.
  • Familiarity with recognized data-management and governance frameworks.

Target salary range: $101,000 - 174,000
